Open Water Diver Course > Beginner
This is a class for the entry-level diver. The Open Water class is an introduction into the basic concepts and laws of diving. This class allows the new diver to become familiar and comfortable with the equipment used in SCUBA diving. The student will learn how to set up the equipment, use the equipment and deal with all situations that may occur while underwater. Aside from the use of equipment in and out of the water the student also learns about the basic physics, physiology and environment that are related to diving. This class incorporates one day of class room discussion, one day of confined water training, and two days spent in open water applying all that was learned in the previous days. Upon completion of the course the student becomes a certified PADI Open Water Diver. This allows the student to rent gear, fill tank and enjoy the underwater world up to 60 ft.
